History

From the outset of approaching Taylor’s you will be swept away with the beauty of its idyllic surroundings because the Pole Dancing Studio, like no other, is set upon a farm deep in the heart of the Surrey countryside.  The first thing to strike about the studio is the beauty of how this 16th century barn was renovated into the pole dancing studio we love, with every inch of character still in place.

The wonderful old wooden beams, dusty corner arches, rustic walls and chandelier style lighting is a contrast against the 10 poles standing 4.5m high, the hoops and silks take their place in the barn along with a bar and flat screen TV!  Even the kitchen, toilets and showering room hold bags of character from the ceiling beams down to the old style door handles and chain pulls. One thing which will welcome you into the 21st century is the optional disco lights, side lighting and warmth of the under floor heating, perfect for those chilly pole evenings!

The Barn took the owner, Ben Turner, and only 2 of his friends 5 months of hard work and dedication to renovate into the Pole Dancing Studio we love today.

On the 10th August 2009 Taylors Pole Retreat held its first ever master class, and what other person could grace the studio than world champion Felix Cane.

We then went on to open the doors for the first time to the public on the 22nd of August 2009 for a launch party weekend, hosting master classes with the infamous trickster Deb Riley and Miss Pole Dance UK 2009 Champion Alesia Vazmitsel (Now Current 2011 Wold Champion).

With over 250 people attending this was the start of PoleDancingUK, Taylors and its huge popularity within the Pole world.

Taylors is a haven of activity with exciting events on the horizon, and a comforting place which welcomes any walk of Pole dancer, Arial / Hoop and Silk.
